Preparation
- Dissolve 31.0 g of mixture A in 900~950 ml of MQ water in a closed container.
- Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.
- Cool the broth stock to about 70°C. Aseptically add 5~10% (v/v, final) sterile defibrinated blood, make the final valume of the media 1000ml, keep at 70°C for 15 minutes and cool to about 50°C. Mix and quickly dispense into sterile petri dishes.
Note:
It is strongly recommended to operate within a clean bench when preparing the solution & agar plate.
When ordered with defibrinated blood, this item is shipped with 2.8 kg of dry ice for international deliveries and 1.3 kg of ice packs for domestic shipments.
For international customers, we recommend sourcing defibrinated sheep or horse blood locally whenever possible to minimise the risk of customs clearance delays, which are common when importing animal blood products.
