Uses
For biochemical research. G418 disulfate salt Inhibits protein synthesis in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, it is an aminoglycoside antibiotic similar in structure to gentamicin used for the selection and maintenance of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells transfected with the neo gene.
Low toxicity to plant cells, Plant cell toxicity threshold ~200ug/ml
Working concentration :
Plant histoculture ~ 100 μg/ml;
Cell selection ~ 10~500 μg/mL, specifically at 5~10 μg/mL for prokaryotes, 200 μg/mL for lower eukaryotes and 300-500 μg/mL for mammalian cells.
